Vintage Mercury Dime Sterling Silver Pendant Necklace

Vintage 1910s-1940s Mercury Dime pendant made of 90% silver on a .925 silver chain necklace. Mercury is the Roman god of financial gain, commerce, eloquence, messages, travelers, trickery, and thieves. Mercury dimes were minted between the 1910s-1940s and were the smallest of the US coins valuing 10¢. Wearing a Mercury Dime as a pendant necklace is wearing a piece of history but can also be seen as bringing in the fruits of the god of Mercury.

A dual sided pennant of Mercury's head; one side of the includes more features of Mercury while the opposite side has a fasces, the symbol of authority from antiquity, wrapped by an olive branch representing peace.

Necklace chain length measures approximately 18" tip to tip (unclasped) and the Mercury Dime pendants measures approximately 0.75" in diameter.

Please note due to its vintage nature that not all Mercury Dime Pendants will look the exact same as pictured and have slight variations.
