Vintage 1940’s Moleskine French Chore Coat

The crem-de-la-crem of French chore coats, even if I butchered that spelling, the moleskin chore by Le Mont St. Michel. Incredibly faded out over decades of wear, what was once a deep dark indigo is now barely hanging on to the remaining blue. Contrast buttons and stitching throughout, incredible contrast of fabric colors as well. Original owner decided to sew all of the button holes closed with the exception of the top one, indicating the jacket was primarily worn open or with the single top closed. Quite the look! Small repair on the lower back and fraying throughout, most specifically at the wrists and the button holes. Incredible specimen, ready to go! 

*disclaimer - I believe the fabric used to close the button holes is removable without hurting the jacket, but we did not attempt to do so.
