Vintage 1940/50’s “501st Paratrooper Infantry” Varsity Jacket
A piece of history right here, as beautiful as it is significant. Gorgeous wool and satin varsity jacket for the 501st infantry, the military’s first parachute division. Wool body with satin lining and piping down the sleeves, with chainstitched patches all over. The 501st Infantry, in addition to being the first parachute infantry, dropped in Normandy prior to those on boats. Incredible! Jacket is in exceptional condition, no holes, stains or snags whatsoever. Gripper zipper hardware.
