Vintage 1940/50’s Brent “Healthgard” Ribbed T-Shirt

Now this here is what we call the great-great-grandpa of your favorite white t-shirt. Beautiful ribbed t-shirt made by Brent, a subsidiary of Montgomery Ward, in the 1940’s. Mounted collar, exterior overlock stitching throughout, single stitch hems at the sleeves and a double stitched hem at the waist for extra reinforcement. Pigeon footing at the armpits, truly something I’ve never seen on a t-shirt. This thing is about as worn as you’d expect after 80 years; properly thrashed neckline, small holes at the armpit and shoulders and some marks throughout. Ready to go with tons of stretch left in it.
